FAQs

  • It is beneficial for you to confirm coverage with your insurance provider. Most insurance companies will cover part, if not all, of your costs for nutrition counseling.

  • To ensure you get the most out of your benefits and avoid unexpected financial accruals, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask them these questions:

    • Do I have benefits for nutritional counseling?

    • Is a doctor's referral required?

    • Do I have any nutrition counseling benefits covered under the preventative care portion of my plan?

    • Is there a limit on the number of visits I am allowed?

    • Are there any restricted diagnoses?

    • Do I have a deductible to meet before insurance pays?

    • Do I have a copay or coinsurance once my deductible is met?

  • All major credit cards are accepted. Also health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA) are generally accepted, but a secondary payment must be on file in case there are insufficient funds in the account. Full payment is expected within 60 days from the date of service.
